What does uninstall propose For Device Manager things within Windows XP, if they preserve coming rear?

I UNINSTALLED a Wireless adapter, great. But everytime i do this and after i restart it comes hindmost.. WhY?



Like magically it gets installed again.. that's stupid...I'm on an Acer Laptop Aspire, next to windows XP

uninstalling it from window does not uninstall it from the computer!! It is still there so when window reboots it recognises the hardware being here and reinstalls it
most likley because it is still plugged in to your computer and it automatically installs
In Network Connections,

right click the wireless Icon,

next click "Disable"
Uninstall is used to deactivate the device to prepare it for physical removal or to install a latest driver. If the device is still present when you reboot your PC, Plug & Play will automatically install the drivers again and reenable the device.



If you don't want to use the wireless adapter or have it deactivated but not physically removed (which may not be possible within a laptop), then simply choose the "disable" factor in device executive. This should keep the device deactivated through multiple reboots and not bother you at adjectives.



Another option is to disable it underneath Network properties or turn off the radio. These closing two options be off the device activated, but don't permit it make a nouns. If you don't want to worry just about any kind of wireless device at adjectives, the device manager choice is your best bet
