You wont get a biddable laptop gamer for 1000! Try 2000 maybe!
laptops are not made for graphics its going to be complex to find a computer with really honourable graphics under 1,000
dell inspiron e1505, near radeon x1400, approx. 12 or 13 hundred $ ,would do alright,will play oblivion at 1280/800 beside no aa reasonably resourcefully
