what is fsb?

Answer:

Last guy is right nearly the purpose, but the front side bus is a part, it in actual fact contained within the processor. It unsophisticatedly is the processor for the most part, but its speed is different than the quoted speed of the processor.
fsb = front side bus.

Simply, it system the system that connects your CPU to the rest of the computer. The faster it goes, the faster notes can get to your chip, and in consequence the faster your machine go.

There is no one factor you can point to and say "that nearby is the fsb!" its just a broad name for the overall system.
