What is a CD-RW drive? Does a laptop contain this??

Answer:

its a compact disc rom drive that can also burn CDs for you. the W means that it will burn on Rewritable disks, which mode you can erase them and burn new information. Regular CD-R cannot be changed once you burn something on them. Most laptops at the present time have a DVD/CD-RW drive. You can check by looking at the drive.
i.e. a cd-burner.

if your lap top have a cd tray, look at the outside. it will say R (read), or RW (read/write).
That is basically a drive that can write to CD-R or CD-RW discs (CD-Recordable and CD-ReWritable). Pretty much any laptop within the second 5-7 years should have one, yes.
a cd-rw drive is a cd burner that will allow you to burn a cd, and pretty much erase it and use that cd again.

not adjectives computers had cd-rw drives, it will read out on the actual drive itself if it is cd-rw.

you need to buy special cd-rw cd's to re-write them.
it is a cd drive where on earth you can burn cd's, not dvd's.

and it really depends on the specs of the laptop if it has a cd-rw drive.
See the features of the laptop to find out if it say - cd rw.

It writes, and reads disc.

In other words, you can write stuffs , record songs, recover data on a compact disc by using this CD-RW drive.
recent laptops do contain them
Yes, some laptops contain this. A CD-RW drive is a CD Burner.
