I want something something like the same size as an IBM Thinkpad X series (12.1"). It can be any brand new or used. Something for mostly taking resume in class and using Wi-fi on campus. Can someone endow with me some suggestions?

HP DV2000 series laptop. You can get them from most electronics retailers such as best buy, comp usa, organization depot, circuit city, etc.
I would recommend going to Gateway.com. They have notebook starting at $599 that are 12 or 13 inches across. They have pretty righteous specs and I think within is a Tablet PC there as economically for under $1000. Strongly recommend Gateway.
