My laptop computer will not start up. It go to a black screen that say loading PBR 2..done Bad PBR. I've tried restarting several times. I've even tried to boot from my windows xp disk but nought works. It's like there's zilch there. What can I do to fix this?
Answer:
Maybe your computer have been drinking too much Pabst Blue Ribbon?
PBR = Peanut Butter Reserve
A little agreed fact: Laptops use the power of peanut butter to hold on to their information stored while offline. When it says Bad PBR that way the Peanut Butter has gone rotten. To fix it you have need of to open up your casing and smear Peanut Butter on the motherboard.
are you sure it says PBR and not MBR? email me
you could lately google it.
pbr refers to Partition Boot Record
check this out. might be helpful
This is the Partition Boot Record.
Many PCs presently have repair disks installed. This requires a multi-boot configuration. Under ordinary conditions, you might see a screen that instructs you to press F2 to restore (or something similar).
You may entail a partition repair. Powerquest have some software that could help surrounded by this area.
The angelic news is that your data/programs are probably unbothered by this trouble. So if you can recover the partition, everything could go wager on to normal.
