What does intel my graphics cards that don't work beside anything?

why would intel brand a graphics card that sucks and does not work with a hobby that is 3 years elder than the computer. and why would gateway put it in the damn computer itself?

crap, when i get this i thought i could play games, because i have 256mb shared video knock against and 2gigs of system ram, next to a very in a hurry cpu.

i cannot even play battlefield 1942 without it screw up, due to the graphics card.

could it be an compability issue with window vista?

Answer:

Intel graphics cards are integrated video chips built into the motherboard to save money. They are not intended for 3D gaming. You have need of to get a stand-alone video card. You probably own a PCI-Express x16 slot as most new computers do, so I will suggest a few cards within the links below. Some might require a better power supply.
intel graphics card as u said uses ur RAM as a shared graphics card, it doesn't have any separte memory contained by it. There is nothing to do beside compatability issue with VISTA, try buying a graphics card.

i can envisage how u feel but u should enjoy done some research on systems.
