i downloaded a shreder on my mac but im wondering what happenes to the the wallet once it has be shredded
Answer:
Normally the file is delete and the portion of the hard disk that it be on is overwritten a few times either by zero or by random facts.
Nrmally when a file is delete the listing for the wallet is removed and the disc space made available fr new notes. The original information remains till some other file is written over it.
Even near shredders it may still be possible for experts to retrieve much of the data.
It grasp deleted.
Bit close to shredding paper beside a cross-cut. Bits get dumped everywhere, to be overwritten by whatever's endorsement at the time.
A file of memory usually have a header file surrounded by the front of it that allows the computer to read the file. A simple deletion program delete the header so when the computer is looking for somewhere to write it does not see the header file and writes over that branch. A shredder overwrites the information with unwanted items so that it can't be recovered with special software. The more times the memory is written over the smaller amount likely it is to be recovered.
